Kolhapur is a large city in the southern part of Maharashtra Shri Karveer Niwasini Aai Ambabai Temple is one of the three and half Shakti Peeths in Maharashtra.

Beed is an ancient village situated in the hills of Kapari on the Tulasi River 15 km southwest of Kolhapur on entering the village the confluence of the rivers Bhogavati and Tulasi known as the underground Ganga can be seen here. This place is called Rudraprayag.

Beed village is a historical town at least 1000 years age it was the capital of regime appointed by Shilahar King. There is an ancient temple of village deity Shri Kalleshwar Maharaj in the village. Similarly we get to see Ganesha Temple, Lakshmi Lake, Jotiba temple, virgal, Sati temple etc. at the same time even today gold coins are found in excavations in Beed village.

Bahireshwar village is located at a distance of 2 km from Beed village. There is an ancient Sheshashai Water temple in these villages. To the west of Beed village is Sateri mountain. The ancient Mahadev temple and grand Swayambhu Nandi and the Nature’s beauty can be seen on this hill.
